Allison Lewallen

Allison Lewallen is the principal of Morris Middle School in the Pasadena Independent School District in Houston, Texas. She has worked in education for more than 15 years, 11 of which were in an urban high school setting as a teacher, instructional specialist, and assistant principal. During her leadership of Morris Middle School, she created collaborative teams with a clear focus on growth of the whole child. This improvement led to the campus being recognized as a Model Professional Learning Community (PLC) at Work® campus.

As principal of Morris Middle School, Allison used campuswide data to lead cultural and instructional change by developing clear and collaborative systems for addressing behavioral and academic needs of students. The consistent use and refinement of systematic processes helped her campus teams grow and ensure equitable learner outcomes for all students.

Allison’s current campus, Morris Middle School, has been recognized nationally as a Texas School to Watch for their focus on academic and emotional growth of all students. They have also received the Texas School Counselor Association’s CREST award for their data-based approach to building relationships and supporting students and families. During her time as assistant principal and master scheduler at Sam Rayburn High School in Pasadena ISD, her leadership and dedication contributed to the school being named a Model PLC at Work campus.

Allison holds a bachelor’s degree in history and political science from the University of Texas Permian Basin and a master’s degree in educational administration from Lamar University. Additionally, she holds a certification in social studies, special education, and administration.
