Angela Williams has more than 15 years of experience in Broward County Schools, Florida. She has designed curriculum, served as a professional learning facilitator, and implemented professional learning community (PLC) plans that guide teachers in using data effectively to plan instruction.
Angela Williams
Angela Williams has dedicated more than 15 years to the field of education. Her experience ranges from classroom teacher to instructional leader in Broward County Schools, Florida. Angela has designed curriculum, served as a professional learning facilitator, and implemented professional learning community (PLC) plans that allow teachers to understand how to use data effectively when planning for the next steps of instruction. She currently serves as a literacy coach in Broward County Schools, where she remains focused on helping schools work effectively as PLCs. She is an endorsed professional in supporting gifted and talented students, the English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) program, and reading instruction.
Angela’s work in curriculum design includes advocating a “Reading for All” initiative. As the equity liaison in Broward County, she has helped educators understand the importance of equity for all and integrate this knowledge in their daily practice. As a trainer for UnboundEd, she has educated teachers around the world on equity as it relates to their instructional processes. Angela is a member of the Florida Education Association, and she has been twice recognized as Teacher of the Year in Broward County.
Angela graduated from Florida State University with a bachelor’s degree in health education. She earned her master’s degree in curriculum and instruction from the University of Phoenix, and later received her teaching certification in English, with a focus on grades 5 through 9.
