Becky Conner currently serves at the Georgia Department of Education in the instruction and systematic improvement unit. During her 32-year career in Catoosa County Public Schools, she was part of the guiding coalition and accomplished numerous goals for all students.

Becky Conner currently serves at the Georgia Department of Education in the instruction and systematic improvement unit. As a special education director for over 16 years, Becky was honored for student achievement growth, subsequently earning the 2017 Lillie Moncus Special Education Administrator of the Year award.
At the Georgia Department of Education, Becky has provided professional learning for teachers focusing on specially designed instruction, co-teaching strategies, engagement strategies, and high-level practices. Her past professional experience in Catoosa County Public Schools includes as special education director, elementary principal, high school assistant principal, and elementary special education and gifted teacher.
During her 32-year career in Catoosa, she was part of the guiding coalition and accomplished numerous goals for all students. Her results show an increase in the graduation rate for students with disabilities and the least restrictive environment placement options for students. She worked to improve compliance while maintaining an instructional focus. She has also served and remained active with numerous committees and organizations, such as Catoosa County Special Olympics, Council for Exceptional Children, Council of Administrators of Special Education, Georgia Association of Educational Leaders, and Georgia Council of Administrators of Special Education.
She earned her bachelor’s degree in special education and a master's degree in educational leadership from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.
