Brian Thorne
Following his time as a classroom teacher, Brian Thorne worked as a high school assistant principal, an elementary principal, and a middle school principal. He is currently the principal of Rocky Mountain Middle School in Heber City, Utah.

Brian Thorne is principal of Rocky Mountain Middle School in Heber City, Utah. He began his career as a high school self-contained classroom teacher working with students who needed additional time and support with academic and social behaviors. Following his time as a teacher, he worked as a high school assistant principal, an elementary principal, and a middle school principal.
Brian has been a public educator for over 27 years. He has helped lead the PLC process in a variety of schools at all levels, which resulted in Midway Elementary School being named a national Model PLC at Work® school by Solution Tree in 2020.
Brian holds a bachelor’s degree in anthropology, a secondary teaching certification in the social sciences, and a master’s degree in educational administration and leadership.
