Amanda Boyer, EdD, currently serves as the director of special services in the Neosho School District in southwest Missouri. She has over 18 years of experience in various roles, including special education teacher, early childhood director, early interventionist and behavior specialist.

Amanda Boyer, EdD, currently serves as the director of special services in the Neosho School District in southwest Missouri. She has over 18 years of experience working with students with special needs from birth to 21 years of age in various roles including special education teacher, early childhood director, early interventionist and behavior specialist. Her focus is on advancing the work of the authors of the book Yes We Can! by connecting general and special educators as a collaborative team to ensure high levels of learning for all students.
Dr. Boyer is a member of the Missouri Council of Special Educators as well as the local Leaders and Administrators in Special Education group. Dr. Boyer has presented at the local and state level on topics of early childhood special education, special education compliance and best practice, and general and special educators collaborating in a professional learning community.
Dr. Boyer received her bachelor’s degree in sociology from Missouri Southern State College, her master’s degree in special education from Missouri State University, and her doctoral degree in educational leadership from Southwest Baptist University.
