Ava Hogan-Chapman, EdD, has over 25 years of experience in education focused on educator growth and student achievement. She has served as an elementary school teacher, alternative education instructor, homeschool educator, associate professor, and behavior coach.

Dr. Hogan-Chapman has won numerous awards and grants for her work in Texas and Georgia, including Teacher of the Year at Ruby Reed Academy for Engineering in Houston and the Georgia Gwinnett College Top Claw Award in Lawrenceville, Georgia. She has also published collaborative works in topics ranging from culturally responsive simulation activities to the use of physical restraint in special education.

Dr. Hogan-Chapman earned her bachelor’s degree from Dillard University, her master’s degree from Prairie View A&M University, and her doctorate from Texas Southern University.
