Brad Moore

Brad Moore currently serves as the chief academic officer in Anderson School District One, located in upstate South Carolina. In this role, he oversees preK–12 curriculum and instruction while also supporting professional learning communities (PLC) throughout the district.

Brad is passionate about empowering teacher teams to work collaboratively in order to promote high levels of learning for all students. Furthermore, Brad enjoys working with district and school leaders to ensure those individuals are empowered to model, support and coach the “right work” at the school level to ensure a culture of continuous improvement.

Prior to his current role leading at the district level, Brad served as a fourth-grade teacher, instructional assistant principal, and principal at Powdersville Elementary School. Powdersville Elementary School was recognized as a Model PLC at Work® school in 2022, while Anderson School District One was the first district in South Carolina to be named a Model PLC at Work. Brad is a member of SCASA (South Carolina Association of School Administrators) and has presented at their summer institute multiple times.

Brad received his bachelor’s degree from Clemson University, where he majored in elementary education. He earned a master’s degree in school leadership from Furman University. Brad continues to partner with local colleges and universities to support future educators and supports induction educators in his district.
