Chris Shore
Chris Shore is the coordinator of curriculum and instruction for Murrieta Valley Unified School District in California. In his current role, Chris oversees mathematics, science, English, and social studies for eight schools and leads the implementation of district-level professional learning community (PLC) structures and practices. Previously, he spent more than three decades in the classroom as a mathematics instructional coach and high school teacher.
As a leader in implementing instructional change, Chris has presented across the United States to teachers and administrators on a variety of educational topics. His vision and guidance have led schools to significant improvements in teacher efficacy and student learning. In 2001, Chris was honored with the Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching. Chris is a long-term member of The National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM) and National Council of Supervisors of Mathematics (NCSM).
Chris received his bachelor’s degree in computer science from the University of Southern California. He earned his teaching credential in mathematics from National University and his master’s degree in education from United States International University.
