Connie Schrock is an expert in K–12 education and college-level mathematics and has decades of experience in collaborating closely with educators and districts to enhance student mathematics learning in middle school, high school, and college.
Connie Schrock
Connie Schrock served as president of the National Council of Supervisors of Mathematics (NCSM): Leadership in Mathematics Education from 2017 to 2019. She brings decades of experience enhancing student learning in middle school, high school, and college mathematics. With close collaboration with educators and districts, she's an expert in K--12 education and college-level mathematics.
Dr. Schrock is a professor of mathematics at Emporia State University, where she has received multiple award recognitions including Xi Phi Outstanding Faculty Member Award, Liberal Arts and Science Outstanding Teaching and Service Awards, and ESU Outstanding Advisor 2017–2018. She teaches a variety of undergraduate and graduate mathematics classes, including middle and secondary mathematics methods courses where she supervises and works with mathematics student teachers.
Dr. Schrock previously served as an NCSM Central 2 regional director as well as NCSM 1st and 2nd vice-presidents. She also chaired the NCSM Virtual Summit in 2021 and NCSM’s Annual Meeting in Boston. She was part of the author team for both NCSM’s Great Tasks for Mathematics Grades 6–12 and Grades K–5. She was president of the Kansas Association of Teachers of Mathematics, and she was elected the National Historian for Kappa Mu Epsilon, a mathematics honor society.
She remains dedicated to working with classroom teachers and school districts to enhance student learning.
