Jason Hillman is principal of Parkside Elementary School in Wyoming. He is an expert in school culture, school improvement, and professional learning community practices, and he has spent more than 20 years as an educational leader.

Jason Hillman has spent more than 20 years as an elementary school principal—12 successful years at Meadowlark Elementary School in Sheridan, Wyoming, and more than 10 years in his current position at Parkside Elementary School in Powell, Wyoming.
Under Jason’s leadership, both schools have earned prestigious awards due to high performance. In 2012, Meadowlark was named a National Blue Ribbon School by the US Department of Education. In 2015, Parkside Elementary was designated a National Title 1 Distinguished School—and finally, in 2024, Parkside received National Blue Ribbon School status as well. Jason was named 2011 National Distinguished Principal for the state of Wyoming by the National Association of Elementary School Principals. In 2013, Jason was recognized as an Alumni Fellow at his alma mater, Dickinson State University.
Jason is an expert in school culture, school improvement, and professional learning community (PLC) practices. “Practical and engaging” is an accurate way to describe Jason’s work with schools. His humor and “on the ground” experience creates an instant connection between him and audiences. He has a powerful and refreshing message that inspires and educates all who hear it.
Jason graduated with a degree in elementary education from Dickinson State University and a master’s degree in school administration from the University of Wyoming.
