What is a teacher training course?

A teacher training course is designed to give teachers and other educators the skills to lead their students to success. Teacher training courses can help teachers meet their state’s requirements for continuing education or recertification/renewal of a teaching license. Courses can also be taken for independent professional development.

All Solution Tree online teacher training courses include videos by leading experts in education, online quizzes, and a certificate of completion. View our full listing of Mini-Courses for teacher training.

How long is a teacher training course?

Teacher training courses vary in length. Courses are typically measured in contact hours. One contact hour equals 60 minutes of time spent completing the course, including time spent on readings, videos, and assignments.

However, the actual amount of time needed to complete courses may vary depending on how long it takes teachers to complete exercises and whether they take extra time to study or revisit portions of the teacher training course.

Solution Tree Mini-Courses are four contact hours long, based on the number of hours it should take the average person to complete the course. However, they are structured to allow teachers to complete them at their own pace.

Where can I study teaching?

With online teacher training, you can study teaching from anywhere with an Internet connection. Solution Tree’s online portal allows you access to your Mini-Courses, videos, and quizzes 24/7.
