A statement from Solution Tree CEO, Jeffrey C. Jones

Bloomington, Ind. (June 4, 2020)—I want to make it clear that Solution Tree and its companies stand with African Americans and people of color around the world—including our students, educators, associates, authors, staff, and families. We are deeply concerned with the consistent presence of racism, violence, and discrimination against people of color in our society.

We recognize that sustained and systemic racism is a national and global crisis. We support the efforts being made to seek unity, equality, and respect for every member of our society. It is the only way we will survive and grow as a global community, and we have work to do.

The recent deaths of Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor, and George Floyd, among others, are horrific and reprehensible. We at Solution Tree feel the extreme pain, frustration, and anger that many others are feeling in the world at this moment, and we support the peaceful protests that are bringing long-overdue focus and urgency to these underlying issues.

Solution Tree’s vision is “Transform Education Worldwide to Ensure Learning for All,” and we continue to support our authors’ and associates’ work with schools that strive to make our world rich with equality, integrity, and compassion for everyone. We believe that education can change the world.

Most sincerely,

Jeffrey C. Jones, CEO
