Aisha Thomas has been an educator for over 20 years, serving in all levels of school leadership at the middle school and elementary levels. Using her organizational management skills and the foundational practices of professional learning communities, she helped lead two schools to receive the National Blue Ribbon Award. As an associate with Solution Tree, she is certified to support schools in their journeys through PLC at Work®, Yes We Can! inclusive practices, and the Arkansas Literacy Cohort.
Aisha’s awards include the 2018 Terrel H. Bell Outstanding School Leadership Award from the US Department of Education and the 2018 Special Friend Award from Colorado State University’s Black/African-American Cultural Center. In addition to being a published author and Solution Tree associate, Aisha is a nationally board-certified counselor and contributes to Northern Colorado’s Mom’s Blog. She is a member of the National Association of Elementary School Principals, the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development, and the International Women’s Leadership Association.
She earned her bachelor’s degree and master’s degree from Colorado State University.
