Amy Gluck

Amy Gluck is assistant superintendent of teaching and learning in Grayslake CCSD 46 in Illinois. Her work focuses on ensuring all students achieve high levels of learning.

Prior to working in CCSD 46, Amy was director of educational services at Kildeer Countryside Community Consolidated School District 96 in Illinois. During Amy’s 25-year career with Kildeer District 96, she also served as an elementary principal, middle school assistant principal, literacy coach, reading specialist, and classroom teacher. Amy has focused on leading a high-functioning professional learning community at both the teacher-leader and administration levels. Her work has focused on leading teachers as they engage in discussing best practices for instruction, assessment, and intervention, including considerations of scaffolding and support needed for all learners.

Each of Kildeer District 96’s schools has been recognized as a Model PLC at Work® school during Amy’s time with the district. Amy is a recipient of the Illinois Those Who Excel Award for her work as a literacy coach.

Amy earned a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Indiana University. She earned a master’s degree in language and literacy, as well as a reading specialist certificate, from National Louis University. She also earned a master’s degree in educational leadership from Northern Illinois University.
