Dana Renner has over 30 years of experience as a preK–12 educator and has extensive experience teaching in large urban and suburban districts. She is passionate about organizational leadership, school improvement, leadership coaching and mentoring, professional learning, and systems and processes.

Dana Renner has over 30 years of experience as a preK–12 educator. She has worked at elementary, middle, and high schools and has served as a teacher, instructional facilitator, assistant principal, principal, executive director, and assistant superintendent. She was named the Oklahoma State Middle School Principal of the Year for 2015–2016 and was a representative for the state of Oklahoma at the National Association of Secondary School Principal Leadership Institute in Washington, DC, where she lobbied with congressmen/women and senators on behalf of public education.
Dana also served at the state level on the Principal’s Advisory Committee, the Teacher Leader Effectiveness Advisory Committee, and the Executive Committee for the Cooperative Council for Oklahoma School Administration.
As principal of the Freshman Academy, Dana was part of the team that led US Grant High School in becoming the first Model Professional Learning Communities (PLC) at Work® school in the state of Oklahoma. Later, as an administrator, she led Central Middle School in Edmond Public Schools to become the first middle school in Oklahoma to receive the distinction.
Dana has extensive experience in both low- and high-performing large urban and suburban districts. She is passionate about organizational leadership, school improvement, leadership coaching and mentoring, professional learning and student learning, needs assessment, action-plan development and implementation, and systems and processes.
Dana has a bachelor’s degree in secondary education from Oklahoma State University, a master’s degree in school administration from the University of Central Oklahoma, and an education specialist degree from Oklahoma State University, specializing in educational administration, curriculum and leadership.
