Jennifer Tobias, PhD, is an associate professor at Illinois State University. She specializes in elementary mathematics with emphasis on preparing prospective elementary teachers and developing their understanding of mathematics.
Dr. Tobias received the 2013–14 Outstanding University Teaching Award from ISU. She has served on committees for the Association of Mathematics Teacher Educators and reviews articles for many national and international journals. Dr. Tobias has been published in numerous state, national, and international journals and has presented at several state, national, and international conferences.
She received a bachelor of science in elementary education, a master of education in elementary education, and a master of science in applied mathematics from the University of Illinois. Dr. Tobias received a PhD in education with an emphasis on mathematics education from the University of Central Florida.
