John D. Ewald, EdD, is a former superintendent, principal, adjunct professor, and teacher. He has been an administrator and teacher at the elementary, middle, high school, and college levels.

John D. Ewald, EdD, is a former superintendent, principal, adjunct professor, guest lecturer and teacher. He has been an administrator and teacher at the elementary, middle, high school, and college levels – master’s and doctoral cohorts. He has served the P–21 educational community throughout his 34 year career.
Through implementing Professional Learning Communities (PLC) at Work®, Dr. Ewald distinguished himself as an educational leader while a superintendent and served as an impactful, highly regarded, and internationally recognized instructional leader while a principal.
Dr. Ewald earned a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from the University of Maryland, College Park; a master’s degree in educational administration from Western Maryland College, Westminster; and a doctorate in educational leadership and innovation from Wilmington University in Delaware.
