Linda Mira teaches sixth grade at Margaret Heath Elementary School and English as a second language at Citrus Community College in California. She has 15 years of experience teaching all grade levels, including adult education courses.
As a second language learner, Linda is passionate about language development. She spent a summer teaching English as a second language at a high school in Thailand.
Linda is a member of the California Association of Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages. She is also a member of the Margaret Heath Elementary leadership team, a Thinking Maps® trainer, and a No Excuses university facilitator. At Citrus College, she is one of two instructors assigned to AB86 Grant duties. She was named 2009 Teacher of the Year by Margaret Heath Elementary.
Linda received a bachelor’s degree from UCLA in history with a specialization in diversified liberal arts and a master’s degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages from Azusa Pacific University. She also earned a multiple-subject teaching credential and CLAD certificate from California State University, Los Angeles.
