MaryAnn Brittingham

MaryAnn Brittingham helps educators working with students at risk. She is an instructor and supervisor of student teachers at the State University of New York at New Paltz.

With over 30 years of experience in a variety of educational roles, MaryAnn has assisted elementary and secondary schools in Canada, Mexico, and the United States. Her approach to behavioral intervention empowers students and provides realistic solutions for working with challenging behaviors. She has also leveraged her experience working in psychiatric settings to create therapeutic options for students who require higher levels of emotional and academic support.

MaryAnn is a certified trainer at Life Space Crisis Intervention, which uses interactive therapeutic strategy to transform crisis situations into learning opportunities. Her passion is to help educators gain insights into student behaviors in order to create a safe learning environment where students can discover their talents.

MaryAnn holds a master’s degree in family and child counseling from Long Island University and a bachelor’s degree in elementary and special education from D’Youville College.
