Nicole Peterson

Nicole Peterson, PhD, is an educational coach with more than 20 years of experience in education. Previously serving as a teacher, district instructional coach, assistant principal, and principal, her expertise is growing school cultures and cultivating the Professional Learning Communities (PLC) at Work® process. As a speaker and trainer, she has coached educators on curriculum, instruction, culture, and PLC.

Creating safe, positive, and respectful learning environments for all staff and all students is a core principle of Dr. Peterson’s work. She has experience improving organizational culture in schools across all levels, and she previously led innovations as principal at both Ridgeview and Crestwood Elementary Schools in Michigan. In her current role as speaker and coach, Dr. Peterson shares firsthand experiences of transforming school cultures into positive learning environments that provide a solid foundation to develop and sustain inclusive and collaborative professional learning communities.

Dr. Peterson earned her bachelor's degree in education from Baldwin Wallace University in Ohio. She earned her master’s degree and her doctorate in K–12 educational leadership from Western Michigan University.
