Sandi Novak

Sandi Novak, an education consultant, has served as an assistant superintendent, principal, and teacher. With more than 30 years of experience in schools, Sandi provides professional development on a number of topics and initiatives, such as coaching principals and teacher leaders in developing strong literacy instruction, using data to monitor professional learning implementation, and developing school improvement plans focused on maximizing achievement for all students in literacy.

During Sandi’s tenure with Burnsville-Eagan-Savage School District in Minnesota, she led workshops on instructional coaching, group facilitation processes, and school improvement efforts. She directly coached instructional leaders individually, in small groups, and in large collegial groups. Her efforts, combined with the competent, hard-working educators within the district, produced improved student achievement results.

Sandi has been a member of Minnesota’s Best Practice Network of Teachers, a member of Learning Forward’s Marketing Committee, a consultant for Scholastic Book Fairs, and a board member for the Minnesota Association of Supervision and Curriculum Development (ASCD). Additionally, she has been a presenter at local, state, and national meetings, workshops, and conferences.

Sandi earned a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from St. Cloud State University, a master’s degree from the University of Minnesota, and an educational specialist degree in administration from the University of St. Thomas in Minnesota.
