Making Cultural Responsiveness a Meaningful Aspect of Your Mission

Cultural responsiveness is an approach that practices the validation and affirmation of different cultures for the purposes of moving beyond race and the superficial focus on culture.

Probably the most critical aspect of culturally responsive teaching is identifying the underserved students in your school because the school, as an institution, is not being culturally responsive to their needs.

In this intimate 30-minute town-hall style webinar, nationally renowned educator Dr. Sharroky Hollie will answer your questions around student engagement, school development, strong leadership, and more.

To prepare for the webinar, here are some questions to consider:

  • Who are the underserved students in your school?
  • Are you being culturally responsive to who they are culturally—not just racially?
  • Do you know the students in your classroom, school, and district?
