Jordan Ashley has led the development and implementation of guaranteed and viable curriculum systems across schools and districts, focusing on both academic achievement and social-emotional learning and behavioral learning. Through this work, he has fostered a culture of collective efficacy that ensures learning for all students. As a district leader and former building principal, he has established the foundational structures necessary to support collaboration and results for students. In 2021, as principal, he led his school to achieving Model Professional Learning Communities (PLC) at Work® status despite the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic.
During his tenure in education, Jordan has worked exclusively in Title I schools, including as a teacher, a dean of students, and a behavior management coach in a large, high-needs urban district. He has been a part of various efforts to transform and redesign schools. He has led various initiatives to align curriculum for student academic and social-emotional learning. In his current position, he oversees human resources, specifically related to recruitment, selection, mentorship, and retention. He is dedicated to ensuring high levels of learning for all students and understands the importance of this work as it relates to equity.
Jordan holds a bachelor's degree in music education from Houghton College, as well as a master's degree in curriculum and instruction and a certificate of advanced study in educational administration from the State University of New York at Oswego.
