Jordan Smith is the professional learning community (PLC) coach at Bowman Middle School in Plano, Texas. Previously a science teacher and instructional coach, she now works with collaborative teams and their leaders to ensure student growth through the PLC process.

Jordan Smith is the professional learning community (PLC) coach at Bowman Middle School in Plano, Texas, where she has spent the past four years working with collaborative teams and their leaders to ensure student growth through the PLC process. Her previous experience as a seventh and eighth grade science teacher and an instructional coach add to her depth of knowledge.
As PLC coach, Jordan helped lead Bowman Middle School to become the 16th Texas middle school with the Model PLC at Work® distinction. She currently focuses on coaching and providing support for teachers by breaking down standards, creating common assessments, and determining next steps of intervention or extension based on data. She is passionate about building a culture of shared leadership, collective responsibility, and continuous improvement.
Jordan received a bachelor’s degree from Texas Tech University and a master’s degree in educational leadership from Stephen F. Austin State University.
