Kimberly Almanza serves as a reading specialist in North Texas. With more than 15 years of experience in high-poverty schools and schools with large English learner populations, she has worked as an instructional literacy coach as well as a classroom dual language teacher.
Kimberly specializes in empowering educators with effective instructional practices to promote high levels of literacy. She collaborates with teachers and teams to provide real-time support and specific feedback. She is passionate about creating a culture where teachers foster continuous improvement in an environment where students feel that they can thrive and succeed.
She enjoys the challenge of helping teachers and staff creatively implement Tier 2 and Tier 3 interventions. She works closely with teachers to build collaborative team structures focused on data-driven instruction, student growth, and monitoring assessment results.
Kimberly received a bachelor’s degree in Spanish from the University of North Texas and a master’s degree in educational administration from Concordia University Texas.
