Laurie Gelinas has more than 20 years of experience in education. She has implemented professional learning communities (PLC) as a teacher, building learning coordinator, assistant principal and principal at the elementary level. Laurie is the former Principal of Wilkeson Elementary in the White River School District located in Washington State. She specializes in developing schoolwide systems of support, building shared leadership and implementing the PLC process with fidelity. Under her leadership as principal, her school was awarded Model PLC at Work® status and recognized for outstanding academic growth by the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction.
She received her bachelor’s degree from California State University, East Bay, and her master’s degree from the University of Washington, Tacoma.
