Jenice is a passionate advocate and ally for educators focused on bringing human- and learning-centered design elements to the forefront of all change efforts. Her vast experiences nationally and internationally as a consultant, administrator, literacy coach, mentor, systems-level support specialist, teacher, and facilitator for Oregon Response to Instruction and Intervention as well as Learning Forward Learning School Alliance have contributed to her commitment to a learning and improvement mindset.

She has successfully supported large and small school districts to improve outcomes systemwide. People she has supported sum up the learning experience in these words: intentional, comprehensive, productive, empowering, and collaborative.

Jenice visits and supports schools in Bali, Indonesia; leads a global Science of Reading Collective; and collaborates with other leaders in the field of implementation to help make socially significant outcomes in human services. Her volunteer commitment also includes serving Learning Forward, where she helped form and later served as president and vice president for the Learning Forward Oregon affiliate. Jenice received a Lead Mentor award while serving as a mentor teacher and has been recognized as Woman of the Week by Kastl Law’s Women Supporting Women.
