Jennifer L. Parvin

Jennifer L. Parvin, PhD, PCC, is a proven educational leader with over 25 years of experience. Dr. Parvin holds the Professional Coach Certification (PCC) from the International Coaching Federation, of which she is a member. She serves as an executive coach to campus, district, and organizational leaders through her contracted work with the Holdsworth Center, the Leadership Lab at the University of North Texas Dallas, the New Mexico Public Education Department, and others. Additionally, Dr. Parvin consults with and provides professional development for school districts, nonprofits, and municipalities on leadership development, effective coaching models, and creating aligned, collaborative, and inclusive teams.

Dr. Parvin is an adjunct faculty member in the Human-Centered Interdisciplinary Studies Department, Simmons School of Education at Southern Methodist University (SMU) and teaches multiple in-demand courses on coaching and organizational dynamics.

She was the founding director of the Dallas Independent School District Leadership Academy, which provided professional learning for the district’s aspiring and sitting principals. Prior to that, Dr. Parvin was the founding principal of Salazar Elementary, which was named a Model PLC by Richard and Rebecca DuFour. Dr. Parvin has presented at Learning Forward’s annual conference numerous times and published an article—“Principal Evaluation as a Tool for Growth”—in Learning Forward’s magazine, The Learning Professional, in 2018.

Dr. Parvin holds a bachelor’s degree in English from West Texas A&M, a master’s degree in English/humanities from the University of Dallas, and a master’s and doctoral degree in educational leadership and policy studies from the University of Texas at Arlington.
