Margaret Coughlan

Margaret Coughlan, EdD, is a classroom teacher, district leader, researcher, and adjunct faculty member at Saint Mary’s College of California. Her professional work includes teaching elementary students, teachers, and graduate school master’s candidates.

Dr. Coughlan has worked extensively with emerging teacher leaders as a research advisor for a graduate teacher leadership program focused on social justice and equity. She is a literacy specialist, new-teacher mentor, and researcher. Dr. Coughlan has presented at the California Educational Research Association annual conferences, Action Research Network of the Americas annual conference, and the Leadership for Social Justice special interest group conference.
