Michael L. McWilliams

Michael L. McWilliams is a fierce advocate for classroom teachers, school leaders and staff members who work daily to ensure all students learn at high levels. Michael has spent the last 28 years as an educator, with 20 of those years serving as an elementary school principal. Equipping and empowering others to be the best version of themselves is his life’s mission. He specializes in developing the foundation needed for effective implementation of the Professional Learning Communities at Work® process.

Michael L. McWilliams

Michael L. McWilliams is a fierce advocate for classroom teachers, school leaders and staff members who work daily to ensure all students learn at high levels. Michael has spent the last 28 years as an educator, with 20 of those years serving as an elementary school principal. Equipping and empowering others to be the best version of themselves is his life’s mission. He specializes in developing the foundation needed for effective implementation of the Professional Learning Communities at Work® process.

Michael currently serves as a full time Solution Tree Associate. He is certified in PLC at Work®, Transforming School Culture, Priority Schools in a PLC at Work® and Response to Intervention at Work™. He is the former lead learner and principal of Savannah Elementary School located in North Texas. Under his leadership, the school was recognized as a PLC Model by Solution Tree, an Imagine Math School of excellence for three years, and an Imagine Math Beacon School. In addition, Savannah Elementary also earned recognition as an exemplary school by the Texas Education Agency.

Michael earned a bachelor’s degree in political science and master’s degree in educational leadership from The University of Texas system. He is currently pursuing his EdD in leadership from the American College of Education.
