Paige Timmerman
Paige Timmerman is a high school English teacher at Salem Community High School in Salem, Illinois and a National Board Certified Teacher member since 2019. She strives to provide authentic, real-world writing opportunities that meet her students’ skills and interests.

Paige Timmerman has been teaching high school English since 2012 and currently works at Salem Community High School in Salem, Illinois. She teaches all levels of twelfth-grade English, including an honors level dual-credit writing course. She has also taught freshman and junior English. In her instruction, she strives to provide authentic, real-world writing opportunities that are appropriate to her students’ skills and interests.
Paige became a National Board Certified Teacher in 2019 and has been a member of the NCTE and the IRC. She is a contributing writer to the popular Moving Writers blog and co-presented with the team at the NCTE annual convention in 2019.
Paige graduated summa cum laude from Western Illinois University in 2012, with bachelor’s degrees in Spanish and English education. She graduated from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville in 2017 with a master’s degree in American and English literature.
