Stephanie Walter is the director of teaching and learning for Mizzou Academy at the University of Missouri-Columbia. For over 25 years, she has been devoted to creating strong relationships with students as they grow to take ownership of their learning.
Stephanie Walter
Stephanie Walter serves as the director of teaching and learning for Mizzou Academy. This role affords her the opportunity to develop curriculum, support lead teachers, manage a large team of instructional specialists, and partner with classroom teachers. Throughout her career, Stephanie has taught in public, private, and blended classrooms, meeting students from all over the world and encouraging them as they evolve as writers and learners. In all of these roles, Stephanie shares best practices in online and blended education to create strong relationships with students and walk beside them as they learn to take ownership of their learning.
Stephanie has authored and coauthored 21 online and blended courses, is the coauthor of Connected Classrooms (with Kathryn Fishman-Weaver, 2022), and has led professional development and workshops around the world.
Stephanie holds a bachelor’s degree in secondary language arts from the University of Missouri and completed her master’s degree in creative arts in education through Lesley University.
