Tricia Graham is a passionate educator with more than 29 years of industry experience. She currently serves as director of student support services for Deer Valley Unified School District in Phoenix, Arizona—a preK–12 district that serves over 32,000 students in 42 schools, making it the fifth largest school district in the state of Arizona. Tricia has also served as an adjunct instructor for Arizona State University in the Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College educational leadership masters program. She has spent her career focused on improving the education system and providing all students, teams, and educational professionals with the resources they need to excel.
Tricia led her schools to two A+ School of Excellence awards and national STEM certification. Her work has earned her the 2017 Principal of the Year award and the 2019 Maricopa County Exemplary Principal award. Tricia successfully launched the first Spanish immersion school in the district, which was later named a Model Professional Learning Communities (PLC) at Work® school during her time as principal. Tricia’s lifelong role as an advocate and big sister to her brother with Down Syndrome has made her a devoted leader, and their relationship has driven her journey as a passionate advocate for people with special needs.
Tricia earned her undergraduate degree at Iowa State University where she double-majored in elementary and special education, and she holds a master’s degree in educational leadership and supervision.
