Solution Tree Announces Release of PD Mini-Courses

Bloomington, Ind. (March 11th, 2019)— Solution Tree, an educational publisher and professional development provider, has announced the release of a new professional learning opportunity for K–12 educators. Mini-Courses build on Solution Tree’s PD Playlists, giving educators an affordable, self-guided, dynamic learning opportunity.

Based on four of Solution Tree’s best-selling titles, each short online course is expert-approved and composed of a curated collection of videos that delve deep into key topic areas for continuing education and teacher training, including professional learning communities, assessment and school culture. Videos feature such education leaders as Sharon V. Kramer, Cassandra Erkens, Timothy D. Kanold, Mike Mattos, Anthony Muhammad and others. Educators progress through the videos, tracking and enhancing their understanding of key concepts through a series of short quizzes. At the successful completion of the Mini-Course, educators will receive a certificate of completion.

The initial release will include four mini-courses based on the books Common Formative Assessment by Kim Bailey and Chris Jakicic, Embedded Formative Assessment by Dylan Wiliam, Transforming School Culture by Anthony Muhammad and HEART! by Timothy D. Kanold.

Solution Tree’s Mini-Courses are subscription-based and provide focused, affordable and goal-oriented training. The Mini-Courses also offer micro-credentialing through a certificate of completion for users who complete all videos and pass all quizzes.
